About Me

Hiker, mother, friend, creator of things.

I have been lucky to have a good life and I want to pay it forward.

My parents took a chance for a better life, uprooting themselves and me when I was a mere 4 years old from the Philippines to Australia. Their risks paid off, and Sydney is home. I couldn’t think of a better place to live, and I am grateful.

I have raised my son as a single parent, right from the start. Life throws you curveballs, but all you can do is push on and make sure you give everything a go. My career has been good to me, of course it hasn’t always been easy and it often took a toll on my health, but I have been able to provide a home and nurturing environment for my son. I never wanted him to go without, and he hasn’t. He is a young man now, and I am starting to move into the next phase of my life.

During times when things weren’t going so well or my stress levels were high, I was able to find solace in clay. I loved the feeling of getting my hands dirty and the sense of accomplishment when a final creation was produced. I discovered that ‘making’ in general was my thing.

Through my crafts, I learnt to respect the raw materials and supplies I used. Always trying to recycle and be mindful of how items were sourced. This now embodies my values as a person and for this small craft business that I am creating. I want to make sure that this world is still a great place to live for my son and all of our children, and generations to come.
